HELLO ENGLISH 2016-2017

HELLO ENGLISH TRAINING PROGRAMME 2016-17
FIRST DAY DOCUMENTATION

                                                        Hello English Training Programme   conducted at Ghs Vazhoor is inaugurated by Prof.Pushkaladevi Teacher on 05-12-2016 ,Monday at 10.00 AM.Smt.Leelamani  Balachandran,Educational Standing Committee Member and Smt.Kala,Teacher Govt.High school vazhoor also attended this programme.Rena S Anand ,BPO BRC Kuravilangad and Manju C.K,Brc Trainer BRC Vaikom are the selected RP’s of this programme.

                                    First Programme conducted is Shaking Hands. it was an eyes breaking Ceremony.Aim of this programme is it help easy to the situation.To form a circle say’Hello’ and shake hand with maximum members.Second programme is my name is/what is yours.It’s Aim is to Indrouce ourselves and know each other.Tell our Name First ,Ask your Friend about Her.
                       Third Sharing Experience with a friend Aim to make us tell a few words before audience .Instruction come and draw 10Triangles and 10 Circles.When the music begin start whistling and when the music stops,enter the triangle or circle with a friend.Instruction –One circle have two friends-Cat Friend,Dog Friend,Cow friend,Snake Friend and Frog Friend sit with each Friend share the stories,poems,jokes etc. and say your  friends Experience.

Fourth Activity Role play Introducing Person .Aim is To Train the participants in public speaking Reflection.Every One Participated in the Roleplay with Team Spirit.Fifth Activity Quick Numbers,Aim is To Test the Listening Instruction-Form to Group by Say Hello,Hai.One Group Sit on Zig Zag Shape.There is One Head and Last Tail.Say One Number aloud with their Number.Say One Numberaloud without their Number .SAY Numbers loudly as soon as possible .It is very Interesting.Colours Singing-Hello English Theme Song Singing All team Findout Lyrics.

 SECOND DAY-07-12-2016,WEDNESDAY
                   Today,The class started at 09.30AM.At First,we shared about a good Journal.Three Teachers presented the Journal.Then we learned the Theme Song.After that a Video Game watched.It was done by Ajith Teacher From Kasargode.We watched the Teacher Talks in that Game.

                 There showed one Entry Activity.(In the Pond and on the Bank).I Understand thE Teacher talk is very important in the class.

Teacher Talk  also need Preperations.From the Facial Expressions of the Teacher,the Students Should Understand What She Needs.The Teacher Should Know

Session II
                                  Teacher gave a Material Resource-2A,Here was two Story Examples
1.      Story of three Little Goats
2.      Picture of Different Flowers.
Questions
1.      What are the children able to do Example?
       They Identifiedtat Three f them are Billy goat  h their Colours.
2.      What is the child able to do in Examplr 2?
       He Understand the Teacher Talk. But He Reaspond it in Malayalam.
3.      What is the Purpose of Teacher Talk in Example 1?How Does it Different From the Techer Talk in Example 2?
        First Teacher is Sucessful.But Second Teacher failed,Because the Teacher Talk is Not Apt.
4.      What does the Teacher in Example 2 belive? How Does it Affect the Children’s Learning of English?
        Teacher Needs Only English.So the pupils will not  give the Answer.
       5.What is the Teacher in Example 1 able to do in terms of Teacher Talk?
   Teacher Talk is apt.
Teacher Talk is the only way to speak to learner

INTERVEL
After Intervel,there played a Game.It was to Check the Listening Ability of the Children.

Baton & Ball Game(Out Door Game)
                            Teacher Divided the Whole Class into two Groups.Each Group has a name and a Leader.The Leader is the First one in the straight Line. In front of the Groups,There  is a ball and baton in a plate.The First one  of Each group take the baton and give to the  Second one and goes to the back.She puts the baton in the plate and taken the ball to give the third one.Then She goes to back.Like the play continues.The Leader who comes first infront of  the Line wins the Game.There played 3 Trials.
            When we conduct a game,give instructions is apt language.Otherwise the teacher will fail is giving the instruction.
          After that we sat in basic groups teacher gae a material of dialogue bubbles.3 Bubbles were worked out and one bubble we have to complete we all made the teacher talk bubbles of their own .Our bubbles contain
Meena,Point out the word’cat’in the lesson                                                 Children,Get Ready to play

                                    Listen Carefully,each one take a card from the table.

SESSION III
                     We sat in basic Groups we got a material Resource -2 C.We watched the video (mute).Then we wrote what the Teacher Talks are from the video.Then allbasic groups are divided to take class in different Schools.we are posted in St.Peter’s LPS Vzhoor.We have to conduct a game in Std IV.For that,the group members selected the game and wrote the Teacher Talks.
                                             
                                       
Flower Letter Game
                            For this we made Flowers with paper and wrote the letters.The students should make words with this letter Flowers is maximum,Only Ten Minutes allowed.

·         Today we have to play a new game.It’s name is Flowe Little Game.
·         Take Your members one,two,three and all ones make one group,all two one group,all threes one group.First Group Rose ,Leader Ajith,Sun Flower-Rani,,Jasmine-Anoop

·         Teacher gives Flower letters of different colours.
·         Is it Beautiful?
·         Do you like it?
·         Make as many words you could in 10 minutes.You should write it in your Book also.
·         Have You Finished?,It is time to stop. Please hurry  up.

Each group Reads the words one by one louldly with the spelling and ther Teacher writes it on the Blackboard.
·         Look,who got more?Can you say?
·         Are all these words correct? Who can correct the false one?
·         Very Good Anil,it is correct now.
·         So Rose Group is the winner.There is a gift for You.
·         Come,Rose Group,This is for you.
·         All clap Your Hands
·         Thank you Children.
                        
                                     After making the teacher talk we made the teaching aid for the game.At Four O’ Clock,the class wind up.

                                                                               


THIRD DAY-08-12-2016,THURSDAY
                  As per the Decision of the second day,Hello English class Held on 07/12/2016,The Teachers were divided into two groups.Each Group consists of four teachers .portion to be taught and the school were assigned to each group. All teachers were asked to Report the Respective schools at 09.30 AM.
                         All the groups Reached their Respective Schools at the appointed Time.We Tookpart the teachers prayer and morning assembly.One of the teachers of the assigned group was asked to take a class to the children in that school.Another Teacher was talking videography.Another supplied Teaching Aid,Yet Another Teacher was making the Report.All of them conducted the class beautifully .We Received positive Feedback From the Students and Teachers.
                          After the class was over all, the Teachers  Reported back to to Govt. High School,Vazhoor.Then the RP Reena Teacher passed Around the Feedback Form and their Respective Feedbacks were Collected.

                             After the Feedback Form is collected there was an evaluation class.Here we Discussed various topics including the comphrensibility of Teacher talk in English and about the various mathods that could be used to improve the potential of the teacher,in the area of Teaching in English.
                        

                          After the class was over all, the Teachers  Reported back to to Govt. High School,Vazhoor.Then the RP Reena Teacher passed Around the Feedback Form and their Respective Feedbacks were Collected.
                             After the Feedback Form is collected there was an evaluation class.Here we Discussed various topics including the comphrensibility of Teacher talk in English and about the various mathods that could be used to improve the potential of the teacher,in the area of Teaching in English.
                             Next, A Worksheet was given and theTeachers were Asked to List  out the names of the familiar stories based on the outline given on the worksheet.The stories were also Discussed in detail.Next the Teachers were asked to sitin a circle and made special things of each Teacher to be put in the inner Circle. Some Teachers were asked to make model out of these Respective things.Then Five Teachers were asked to select one special thing Each From the circle and each of the teacher would asked Questions to the rest of the teachers regarding the selected special thingsso as to find the rightful Owner.Then Few of the Teachers Asked to Nararte why the special things was special Teacher them.
                             Next,A video was shown.The video cinema named”Dreams” is the life story of Akira Kurosawa,The Japanese Director.It was a  thought provoking video for us.Afterwards,worksheet was given andwas asked to Fill the columns depending on what was seen the video.

v  After seeing the short film,there was a discussion on it.As per the given Format we Discussed the Elements of the Story that captured our interest.All points were noted like the little of the story,characters,their thoughts and actions,characters dialogue and ways of speaking,Settings,theStory Line,The Sensory Elementsevoked like Visuals,smells,Sounds Textures and Emotions Generated ,Tone,Theme etc.
v  Next,some model class videos was shown as a Reference.It was the video of interactive story telling method for Std III Students by Prof.Unnikrishnan.it was very helpful to us.
v  Then a small story book distributed to each one.it was a set of 10 stories given only for the reference.The RP gave some instructions and all should make it a Role play.For the Roleplay RP divided the participants into 4 Groups.And given teachers to enact the roles as per RP’s Direction.Jungle ,Animals King of Forest ,Soldiers,Rabbit Jumps,Deer Eating Gross etc. All participants should act while the RP was read the instructions.The Activity Helped is to improve our listening skill.After doing So,the class were dispersed.

                                                 FOURTH DAY-09-12-2016,FRIDAY
                   
                                                 Morning Session started at 09.30 AM,with prayer.Simulation of Story telling was the First session.One member from Each Groups presented the stories with different strategies.Cijo.P.Jacob presented the story the cunning fox with help of ICT.It was very vaery Attractive.Other Groups assess the programme.This Activity Enriches Students Listening skill,Vocabulary Comprehension and Enthusias.

                      Next session started at 10.30 AM.It was about Different strategies of Reading.RP Asked the teachers to mention their Reading Speed.The Answer was From 15 to 100.Then they presented a set of 100 words on the screen and told us to Read.Then the the Teachers were asked to write the words from their memory.After tha,RP wanted the Techers to make any discourse using the given words.All the teachers presented different kinds of discourses.It was very interesting.This Activity creates some purpose to read.So Students reads with great interest.Then the leader presented the Original Text.it was a poem by Isodarch about Ann Frank written on 30-10-2010.
   
                                                                                                                                





    After the Lunchbreak,the next session began.RP Manju Teacher Distributed Travellers Journal to a Planet to the Groups.Then Asked to Depict the planet in the form of Atlas.All groups prepared and presented the Atlas. Manju Teacher Commended that make your learners to face the challenges in Reading a Second Language.

                 In the next session,RP gave a Reading Material.The Aim of this session was to Find out how good a Reader You.RP said that one sentence is missing.Teacher wanted is to find out that sentence.Then the teacher asked to find the good reader from Each Group.
                 All the Good Readers are asked to come infront of the class.Then there was a Presentation of Reading materials.Mmembers From Each Groups has tvo commend on the presentation.Before that RP Manju Teacher Distributed a list of Indicators based on Reading Fluency.This Activity Helps a lot to Face all the problems facing Students While they Reading.The session put an end at 4.00 PM.
                                                                                                                                            

FINAL DAY-10-12-2016,SATURDAY
        It is the last day of Hello English Programme .It’s a Time to present Documentation of All Groups. Group Presentation is not a good one.So Reena Madam asked to improve it and give more times to all Groups.Then Teacher asks to make a poem based on the Hello English Learning Programme.All Groups present poems with Different tone.Really it’s an interesting one.
      Next programme is the Documentation presentation of Each Groups.They Have improved .All Groups done very well.Next Programme is Judge and Client.Judge Asked Questions one her Adovcate can Answer. It is also an interesting .Next is musical Chair. We take Number Aple,Orange,mango,Banana .Leader says apple all the come forward move to another seat.This game is very Helpful to improve Listening and ResponseCapacity.Next Topic was what makes your special up as English Teacher.All are said their thought about say Teacher .Then it ‘s Conclude.

 This Year World Disabled Day is Celebrated on December 2,3 & 8,2016. For this celeberation,a meeting is conducted on December 1,Thursday 2016.In this meeting AEO,BPO,BRC Staffs,IEDC Students and Parents,HM's  are attended and planned to conduct the 'Ability Fest' on December 2,3 & 8.BRC Officials Received Funds from Rotary Club,Vazhoor and collect students magazine from Malayala Manorama for presenting to iedc students.

                                          On 02-12-2016,the programme is started with registration.After the Registration,a school assembly is conducted at Govt.Ups Nedumkunnam North and started this year 'Ability Fest'.After the school Assembly, a meeting is conducted at Brc Karukachal by the welcome speech of BPO,Shri.Sreedev.R.Smt.Shailajakumari,ward member Nedumkunnam gramapanchayath made presidential Address and Shri.Mathew john inagurated this mass function.

                                               He said that all the peoples have the responsibility to give enough support and help to students having different abilities.Shri.Satheesh.S made vote of thanks for this programme.After the inagural cermony there is a variety of  programmes are conducted in Brc.Mimicry,Ball passing,Pencil Drawing,singing,Colouring are the some of the programmes.
                   
                                                          REFRESHMENT
                                          After the lunch,Dr.Saji(NHRM) taken class for the Iedc Students and their parents.This class is very helpful for the learners.Based on this class a medical camp is conducted at vazhoor on December 22nd,2016.in this programme50 students and 30 parents are attended.

                                   On 03-12-2016,Saturday the programme is started with registration at 09.30 am at Karukachal BRC .The Programme is started with the welcome speech of BPO,Shri.Sreedev.R.Smt.Shailajakumari,ward member Nedumkunnam gramapanchayath made presidential address.The programme is  inagurated by Shri.Dr.N.Jayaraj,MLA,Kanjirappally& he gave short description about the students whose are mentally and physically  disabled showing their strong determinations in world and also she share some sweet memories in his  childhood.

                                          Shri.A.J.Sebastian,AEO,Karukachal,Smt.Bindhumol,HM,CRC Nedumkunnam Shri.John.C.Thomas,Secretary,Lions Club,vazhoor and Shri.N.M.Zakhir Hussain,BRC Trainer gave Facilitate speech. Shri.Satheesh.S made vote of thanks for this programme.March past is cionducted for the students and displayed 17 aims of UN.Ball passing,Baloon Blasting,Mimics etc are conducted.in this programme 65 students and 54 parents are attended.After the lunch,sports items are conducted.ther programme is ended with National Anthem.
